Pipe Major Andrew Bruce and Lance Corporal Piper Patrick Craig made an appearance in Calgary, Alberta in support of the Halifax Host Committee for the 2010 Brier and Tourism Nova Scotia. Events included a rolling Kitchen Party on the Calgary C-Train, multiple media appearances on radio stations in Calgary and an early morning spot on City TV's Breakfast Television. When not mugging for the cameras, the Highlanders could be spotted in the Purple Heart Lounge at the Calgary Saddle Dome providing information to potential tourists and Nova Scotians missing home. The event was a great success with the Highlanders braving -32C temperatures but nonetheless making a great impact on the event.
