Throughout the Napoleonic Wars of the early 19th century, the Royal Artillery grew by leaps and bounds.  In 1833 the numerous battle honours that the Regiment had accumulated were compressed into a single Battle Honour, Ubique (Everywhere).  The Regiment also received the accompanying motto Quo Fas Et Gloria Ducunt (Whither Right and Glory Lead).
