
Fighting in the Napoleonic Wars
Throughout the Napoleonic Wars of the early 19th century, the Royal Artillery grew by leaps and bounds. In 1833, the numerous battle honours the Regiment had accumulated were compressed into a single battle honour, Ubique, meaning everywhere. The Regiment also received the accompanying motto Quo Fas Et Gloria Ducunt, meaning whither right and glory lead.

The School of Piping and Drumming offers year-round instruction in piping and drumming for all levels of playing proficiency.
We are happy to provide a private guide for your group at any time of the year. Begining at sunset, the guide will dedicate 70 minutes to introducing your group to the side of Citadel Hill rarely shared with visitors.
